The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977 encourages banks to help meet the credit needs of the communities in which they do business, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Under the CRA, the following information must be maintained in a public file, current as of April 1 of each year.

  1. Written Public Comments - All written comments received from the public for the current year and each of the prior two calendar years relating specifically to the bank’s performance in helping to meet community credit needs, and any responses to the comments by the bank.
  2. CRA Performance Evaluation - A copy of the public section of the bank’s most recent CRA Performance Evaluation
  3. Branch and ATM Information - A list of the bank’s branches, ATMs, their street addresses, and geographies, and hours of operation.
  4. Opened and Closed Branches - A list of branches opened or closed by the bank during the current year and each of the prior two calendar years, their street addresses, and geographies.
  5. Products, Services, and Fees - A list of services including available loan and deposit products and transaction fees.
  6. Assessment Areas - A map of each assessment area showing the boundaries of the area and identifying the geographies contained within the area in a separate list.
  7. HMDA Disclosure Statement
  8. Loan to Deposit Ratios - The bank’s loan to deposit ratio for each quarter of the prior calendar year.

Please visit your local American Bank & Trust branch for questions or to receive a hard copy of the bank’s CRA Public File.
